La Guelaguetza Bar & Grill was started by a passionate team with over 15 years of experience in the culinary industry. Guelaguetza is a holiday that started over 3000 years ago to celebrate the Oaxacan corn goddess, and the word means gift or offering, derived from the indigenous Mexican language Zapotec. This vibrant, colorful celebration shows Oaxaca’s rich cultural heritage, and it’s one of the most important holidays in the state. Every July, traditional dances, music and food highlight the unique customs of Oaxaca’s eight regions.

We’re new to the Benld area, but we already love it, and we’re proud to bring our culture here. We hope that you enjoy getting a taste of all of the incredible cuisine that we love.
